How have we done?
Well interesting... Started in Cancun, hanging out with our buddy Charly... Who is local and ironically lives in the same block I used to in downtown Cancun.
We took some tequila, hung out and talked about the future.
We only had 3 days in Cancun as we were expected in Telchac Puerto by the owners of the Palapa we were dreaming on living in on the beach.
Weeeelll... Now please don't think this is the problem, it's not, but it certainly puts an amusing light on things... Well they are raving 'crizzos' in other words religious...of a denomination I will leave out for now, but staunch ones lets just leave it that way... The palapa is nice... Well that's about it really, it has none of the cooking ability mentioned on the website (due apparently to people in the past almost burning it down cooking!)...ummm that's a bummer, but what the hell were we supposed to do about being self sufficient?! Haha aaaaand with my broken hand, my fiancé left to cook everything on one burner that is more dangerous than anything I have ever seen, it has two tempuratures, off or 'burning food'!

Add to this the lack of transport (kinda promised a car), 8km round trip walking with groceries to the shops, MOZZIES, every other insect creature you could imagine, did I mention MOZZIES!?
We were going to stay 5 more months, at a discount rate, but said we would need transport to do so in case of emergencies, groceries etc... But it's not looking viable at the moment, so going to Motul, a small town from here tomorrow for a look...
It was supposed to be a place of relaxing and recuperating after all we have been through, and my gorgeous man needed time to regulate his body clock after 17 years shift work... It hasn't been that relaxing... Yet... But we are excited about what's next... And hopefully get to find a Maya Shaman too...
